Plastic shredder types:
• Double-shaft plastic shredder: This shredder has two parallel main shafts with rotating blades mounted on them. These blades shear and shred plastic through relative rotation. This type of shredder offers high shredding efficiency, high processing capacity, and a wide range of applications. It is suitable for shredding a variety of large plastic products and large quantities of plastic waste, such as plastic pipes, plastic sheets, and plastic pallets.
• Single-shaft plastic shredder: This shredder has a single main shaft with rotating blades mounted on it. These blades work in conjunction with fixed blades fixed to the machine body to shred plastic. Single-shaft shredders have a relatively simple structure and are relatively affordable. They are suitable for shredding small plastic products and small amounts of plastic waste, such as plastic film and plastic bottles.
• Four-axis plastic shredder: Equipped with four main shafts, these shredders work in tandem to achieve finer shredding of plastic, resulting in more uniform particles. They are often used in applications requiring high shredding quality, such as pre-treatment before producing recycled plastic pellets.
A plastic shredder primarily shreds plastic through the shearing and tearing action between rotating and fixed blades. A motor drives the main shaft, and the rotating blades mounted on the shaft rotate at high speed with it. They work in conjunction with fixed blades fixed to the main body to cut and shred the plastic material entering the shredding chamber. The material is gradually broken into smaller pieces by the blades before being discharged through the outlet.
Advantages of plastic shredders: • Excellent shredding performance: It can break plastic products of various shapes and sizes into uniform, small pieces for easy processing and handling. • High processing capacity: Different models and specifications can be selected to meet different production needs, meeting the requirements of large-scale plastic recycling and processing. • Wide range of applications: It can shred a variety of plastics, including common plastics such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polystyrene (PS), as well as some engineering plastics. • Easy operation: The equipment is relatively simple to operate. Simply place the plastic material into the shredder chamber and activate the machine via the control system to begin shredding. Furthermore, the equipment is easy to maintain, reducing operating costs.
