Scrap Steel Shredding and Recycling Line Delivered to Greece

Scrap Steel Shredding and Recycling Line Delivered to Greece, Helping Europe Efficiently Recycle Resources

Recently, a high-performance scrap steel shredding and recycling line (comprising a heavy-duty metal shredder and a high-precision eddy current separator) was commissioned and shipped to Greece, marking a new entry point for Chinese high-end scrap steel processing equipment in the European market. Designed for medium- and large-scale scrap steel recycling projects, this line efficiently processes mixed metal waste (such as used cars, industrial steel components, and scrapped machinery). Through its integrated "shredding and separation" process, it will help Greece increase its scrap recycling rate and promote the development of a circular economy.

Core Equipment Collaboration, Solving Processing Challenges
The core of the line consists of a heavy-duty metal shredder and a high-precision eddy current separator. The crusher features thick, wear-resistant hammers and a low-speed, high-torque design, reliably crushing metal sheets, rebar, and lightweight materials up to 15mm thick. It reduces mixed scrap to uniform pieces under 50mm, breaking down the encapsulation structure and releasing the metal within. The eddy current separator, leveraging differences in metal conductivity, uses high-frequency magnetic field induction to precisely eject non-ferrous metals like copper and aluminum (mixed in the scrap) due to repulsive forces. This separation achieves a purity exceeding 96%, effectively improving the quality and added value of the scrap. The two machines are linked by an intelligent control system, fully automating the "crushing-conveying-sorting" process and increasing processing efficiency by 35% compared to traditional production lines.

Meeting Greece's Needs and Serving Green Transformation
As a key EU country promoting the circular economy, Greece is accelerating the resource utilization of scrap metals, but places stringent requirements on the efficient separation of non-ferrous metals contained in mixed scrap. The exported production line features optimized crushing force and sorting parameters tailored to the characteristics of common local scrap materials (such as corroded steel plates and mixed lightweight and thin materials). It also utilizes wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials to adapt to the Mediterranean climate, ensuring long-term stable operation.

Scrap Steel Shredding and Recycling Line

China's scrap steel processing equipment, with its mature technology, flexible customization, and high cost-effectiveness, is rapidly integrating into the high-end European market. This collaboration not only provides Greece with a "Chinese solution" for scrap steel recycling but also adds a new dimension to China-Europe green technology cooperation.
