Plastic Film Shredder: Specialized Equipment for High-Efficiency Film Waste Processing
In the field of plastic film recycling and processing, the plastic film shredder is a specialized piece of equipment for solving the problem of difficult film waste processing. It can shred various plastic films such as PE (polyethylene) mulch film, PP (polypropylene) packaging film, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) food preservation film, greenhouse film, as well as composite films such as stretch film and bubble wrap. It can shred loose, easily tangled film materials into uniform strips of 10-30mm, providing high-quality pre-treated material for subsequent granulation and recycling processes, significantly improving the recycling rate of film waste.

The core structure of the equipment is designed around "anti-tangling + high-efficiency shredding," including an anti-stick feeding system, a dedicated shredding system, and a smooth discharge system. The feeding system employs an inclined, sealed feeding hopper, paired with a spiral pusher with anti-slip textures. This prevents the film from scattering during feeding and ensures a continuous and stable pushing force to prevent material from getting stuck at the feed inlet. The core of the shredding system is a single- or double-shaft cutter roller. The roller surface is equipped with "wolf-tooth" special alloy blades with precisely calculated blade spacing, enabling rapid cutting of the film's fiber structure. Simultaneously, anti-winding scrapers are installed on the sides of the rollers to clean film tangled on the cutter shaft in real time, preventing equipment jamming. The discharge system uses a widened conveyor belt with guide plates to ensure smooth discharge of shredded film strips, preventing accumulation. During operation, the plastic film enters the shredding chamber through the feeding hopper. The pusher pushes the material towards the cutter roller, which rotates at high speed to shear and tear the film. The anti-winding scrapers simultaneously clean the cutter shaft, and finally, the shredded strips are conveyed out, completing the shredding process.

Compared to ordinary shredding equipment, plastic film shredders have three core advantages: First, excellent anti-tangling effect. Specialized blade and scraper designs completely solve the industry problem of film entanglement on the blade shaft, achieving a continuous operating rate of over 95%. Second, high shredding efficiency. Optimized blade roller speed and shearing force for the thinness of the film allow for a processing capacity of 200-800 kg per hour, 50% higher than general shredders. Third, strong adaptability. It can process various plastic films with thicknesses of 0.01-0.5 mm, including oily and sticky waste films, without the need for pre-cleaning and sorting.

Operation and maintenance precautions: Before starting the machine, check the blade clearance to ensure it meets the thickness requirements of the film to be processed. When processing heavily sticky films, appropriately reduce the feed speed to prevent material clumping. In daily maintenance, clean the feed hopper and shredding chamber of residual film weekly, check blade wear monthly, and add high-temperature grease to the bearings quarterly to ensure stable equipment operation. Currently, this equipment has been widely used in plastic film manufacturing plants and waste packaging recycling companies, providing key equipment support for the recycling of plastic film.
